In the framework of the exhibition "Visionary Technology" promoted by "All About Apple Onlus", the activities of the DRIHM project, will be presented at the Science Festival 2012.

An important role in the DRIHM project is given to the contribution of citizen-scientists, that is citizens enthusiasts about Hydrometeorology, who are called to share the observations of their stations within the infrastructure DRIHM. These citizens will in return be able to access the available data and view the results of simulations of extreme hydrometeorological events.

Efforts will be devoted to involve schools, in order to disseminate the right culture of the hydro-meteorological risk and the acquisition of responsible behaviour by young students/citizens: it will presented a pilot interdisciplinary project, including the use of iPad tablet, promoted by the Secondary School of the Mele, assisted by experts from CIMA Research Foundation.

The exhibition “Visionary Technology”, including the project DRIHM and activities of the Secondary School of the Mele, will be active during the Science Festival, at the new University Library location, a beautiful building between liberty and high tech built in what was the former Hotel Colombia Excelsior (via Balbi, Genoa).
