The DRIHM project signed at the European Geosciences Union's General Assembly 2013 in Vienna a Memorandum of Understanding with the EU-funded MAPPER project to expand the use of services and tools developed by the MAPPER project within the European hydro-meteorology community.
MAPPER - Multiscale APPlications on European e-infRastructures - is driven by seven challenging applications from five representative scientific domains (fusion, clinical decision making, systems biology, nano science, engineering); the aim of the project is the deployment of a computational science environment for distributed multiscale computing on and across European e-infrastructures. As such, MAPPER supports DRIHM's core requirements of job submission, data transfer and model coupling while DRIHM will be enabled to leverage MAPPER's tools and services in test environments as preparation for the planned involvement in production-scale PRACE and EGI infrastructures.
